Flower Shows

The club members participate in three flower shows:  an In-House Flower Show, the Longwood Flower Show, and the Philadelphia Flower Show.

The purpose of a flower show is to:
  • set standards of artistic and horticultural excellence,
  • broaden knowledge of horticulture, flower arrangement, conservation, and other related areas, and
  • share the beauty of a show with fellow club members and the public.

Flower shows combine artistic vision, horticultural mastery, engineering, and sophisticated craftsmanship to create a brief but brilliant display of beauty in time.

Longwood Flower Show

The Longwood Flower Show is held each fall and is sponsored by five District I clubs: Country Gardeners, Four Seasons GC, Garden Club of Springfield, Garden Class of the Woman’s Community Club of Uwchlan
 and Spade & Trowel Club.

In-house Flower Show

We hold an In-House Flower Show every-other year, following the National Garden Club's Flower Show Handbook.   It's a fun opportunity for creativity and learning.  The 2022 show JOYSTICK was a “Non-Standard” Flower Show.  The 2024 show Who's in My Garden was a "Small-Standard" show.
